Hello Hendricks Staff, Students and Families!!

My name is Tijuana Gipson and I am pleased to be a member of the Hendricks team!

A little bit about myself – I was born and raised on the south side of Chicago and I am a product of Chicago Public Schools. My husband and I have two daughters that also attended and graduated from Chicago Public Schools. I am a graduate of Saint Xavier University (B.S. in Nursing) and a graduate of Concordia University Chicago (M.A. in Counseling). In addition to being licensed as a school counselor, I am a National Board Certified Counselor (LPC). I have many talents and years of experience in a few industries. However, I’ve always been drawn to helping young people tap into their strengths and realizing their potential.  

As a school counselor, the heart of my counseling goals are driven by student need individually and corporately. This requires strong collaboration efforts with you and our other esteemed stakeholders. Unwavering social-emotional support is the backbone that will help equip your child to move further in their education.
